Successful Testing, Meeting, and Notes
The past month was a good one for orbit@home. We have deployed and tested the SurveySimulator application on all major platforms, and all the bugs discovered so far seem to have been fixed. Thank you for reporting problems.
We're now working on the next version of the application, that differs mainly for the larger flexibility of scenarios that can be studied. This new version, likely version 1.20, is almost ready and we should start testing it by mid-May.
Windows application ready - Mac OS X next
We've focused our recent efforts into porting the SurveySimulator application to Windows. All looks good now, and we plan to add it to the system next week, along with the generation of a new set of WUs.
One slow week and a half
During the past ten days, not much has happened here at orbit@home. Many of the WUs sent out have produced errors, and this is now being taken care of. The biggest problem was that the size of output files was underestimated, so nothing too complicated to fix.
Project News
First off, thanks to all users to take time to register again to orbit@home. Since the opening of this website, we've been very busy trying to get things started in terms of a working application on BOINC, leaving a bit behind public relations. But it is now our intention to put out project news on a weekly basis.
